Mulching, which requires the optional mulch kit, shreds cuttings and distributes them across the turf as fertilizer, is perfect for neat, well maintained formal lawns; side-discharge, whereby cuttings are laid-out in neat rows to the tractor’s right, is the right option if the grass has become too long to be successfully mulched. The Tornado Special now employs the powerful Honda GCV690 688cc V-Twin engine. The foot-pedal hydrostatic drive on the Tornado Special gives infinitely variable ground-speed control, which in turn makes it easier - and safer - to mow and tow around trees, ornaments and other garden obstacles. Highly productive over large areas, the Tornado Special comes with a sizeable 108cm double-bladed cutter-deck that can be height-adjusted through seven positions (30-90mm); and which is equipped with a series of anti-scalp wheels for turf protection when maneuvring on sloping or rolling ground. A washing link facilitates the hassle-free removal of corrosive, performance-limiting debris from the underside of the deck; while an adjustable seat works with a soft-grip steering wheel and a cup holder to confer the very best in driver comfort. Other attractive features include large 20” drive wheels for high-grip traction; LED headlights that provide great visibility at any time of the day; and a robust front-bumper that limits the effect of any accidental impact.
